OUR BOARD MEMBERS

The membership of the South Central Workforce Development Board shall be in accordance with the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board’s Policy Number 15-001, after consideration of fair and equitable representation, and shall be comprised of 23 members, representing sectors as listed:

12 Business Representatives
5 Workforce Representatives
3 Education and Training Representatives
3 Government and Economic Development Representatives

Members shall be appointed for three year terms, with initial terms staggered so as to have nearly as many equal number of terms expiring each year following.

investigating and implementing best practices in addressing needs

recruiting regional employers as partners in education and training, not just end users of products of educational and workforce development programs

inspiring the public to continually acquire new skills at all age levels

motivating discouraged workers to return to the workforce and to training and education pathway

providing leadership and stewardship for funds and programs of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other funds that the Board acquires to meet its strategic goals
