LET US BE YOUR NETWORK

Kentucky Career Vision

Let us be your Network

The South Central Workforce Development Board wants to be your network and help not only veterans like yourself, but also veterans’ spouses in their transition to civilian life.  We can assist with finding a career in South Central Kentucky that matches existing skill sets or even with further training and education.

You do not have to wait until your exit is “official” to reach out to us either.  Veterans who are months away from their separation from the military are encouraged to contact us now so that we can help make your transition as smooth as possible.  When you focus on your future beyond the military, we hope you, too, will share our KENTUCKY CAREER VISION for YOU.

The South Central Kentucky Workforce Regions sits between Fort Campbell and Fort Knox. These two installations transition a combined 425+ soldiers per month out of the military. This number does not include another 150+spouses.

To successfully recruit transitioning military to our region a multidimensional, proactive approach is required to address training, education, marketing and infrastructure. Targeting military veterans transitioning to civilian life has been part of the workforce board’s strategy for addressing the worker shortage for a couple of years.

The South Central Workforce Development Board has recently hired, Michael Dailey,  a dedicated Kentucky career navigator at Fort Campbell. He works in assisting veterans making the transition to jobs located in South Central Kentucky in manufacturing, construction, transportation and health.

His office is located in the PFC Milton A. Lee Soldier for life Center, 5661 Screaming Eagle Blvd Fort Campbell KY 42223
