KYhirED Scholarship Program

KYhirED is an innovative workforce-based scholarship program in Kentucky from the South Central Workforce Development Board. It addresses making college more affordable for all students, building critical/foundational soft skills while in college and increasing educational attainment by helping individuals remain in school. It is currently available for full-time students attending Western Kentucky University (WKU) or Southcentral Community and Technical College (SKYCTC.)

In addition to helping students, the program provides valuable assistance to employers who are struggling with high turnover in entry-level/frontline jobs by providing them with pre-screened, quality candidates.
